4.1 File Manager Home Page

4.1.1 Overview

The File Manager is your central workspace for accessing, organizing, and managing files within the Dots system. It’s seamlessly integrated into the interface through an iframe (an embedded web frame), providing a smooth, in-page experience that feels native and responsive.

The layout is intuitive and designed with user productivity in mind. Below is a breakdown of each main section to help you navigate the File Manager Home Page effectively:

4.1.2 Left Sidebar (Sub-Menu Panel)

This vertical navigation panel on the left allows you to switch between different categories of files:

  • Home: The default landing page showing commonly used folders such as Desktop and Downloads.

  • Personal: Displays your private files that are only accessible to you.

  • Shared: Contains files shared with you by other users within the system.

  • Network Drive: A connection point to access shared storage spaces across a network (like company file servers).

  • Orient Drop: A dedicated space for managing files that were uploaded via a tool called Orient Drop, commonly used for external file submissions.
